This month, we’re proud to highlight Liz, one of Tankfarm’s hardworking rack truck drivers based out of our Bristol, CT warehouse. Nearly a year into her role, Liz has become an essential part of the operation, combining technical skill with a passion for serving customers. A New Career on the Road
Liz joined Tankfarm with the goal of building a career that combined independence with stability. For her, driving propane trucks struck the perfect balance:
“It gives me a fulfilling job on the road, but I still get to be home every night and enjoy weekends off,” she explains.
From day one, she embraced the challenge. Her routes extend beyond Connecticut into New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, giving her a front-row seat to the landscapes of New England.
“I enjoy the drive, the scenery, and most importantly, meeting our customers and seeing their enthusiasm when their tanks are delivered,” Liz says.
Delivering Propane Safely and Reliably
As a propane delivery driver, Liz plays a critical role in keeping homes and businesses running. Whether she’s delivering propane tanks for a new installation or supporting residential heating systems, she treats each job with the same level of care.
For Liz, the most rewarding part is simple: seeing the look on a customer’s face when the job is done right.
“Knowing they are receiving quality service from our deliveries to our technicians makes it all worthwhile,” she explains.
Of course, New England’s terrain and weather bring their own challenges. Narrow roads, snowy conditions, and long hauls can make propane delivery tough. But Liz embraces it.
“With great challenges come great accomplishments and better skills. It makes me a safer driver,” she says.

“It feels like a home away from home,” she shares.

Life Beyond the Truck
Outside of work, Liz stays just as active. She enjoys hiking, spending time with family and friends, and heading to the beach with her pet bearded dragon, Chester.
“Yes, I’m a mother of a dragon,” she laughs.
And while most people picture truck drivers in steel-toed boots, Liz admits she has a surprising collection:
“I own too many heels!”

Advice for Future Propane Drivers
Liz describes propane delivery as both challenging and rewarding. Her advice to anyone considering the field is straightforward:
“Be a sponge, because there’s a lot to learn.”

“Being the only girl, it’s like having a bunch of brothers,” she says. “Every day feels like time with family.”
